<p class=“ds-markdown-paragraph“><span class=““>I honestly didn’t think I’d be writing this because I’ve had such a run of bad luck with garages since I bought my 2017 Cayenne Diesel about eighteen months ago, but I think I’ve finally found somewhere that actually gets what it means to own one of these cars. The story starts about three weeks ago when I noticed a slight shudder coming through the steering wheel at highway speeds and a weird clunk every time I went over a speed bump, which obviously sent me into a bit of a panic because I know how eye-wateringly expensive Porsche parts can be if something serious goes wrong. I took it to a place near my office that had decent reviews online and they told me it was the control arms and quoted me something like 7500 dirhams which just seemed insane, so I decided to get a second opinion before committing to anything. A friend who drives a 911 mentioned he’d been taking his car to a workshop out in Musaffah and said they really knew their way around Porsches, so I figured it was worth the drive to at least get another quote. I’m so glad I did because not only did they diagnose the problem as something completely different and much less serious – just a worn sway bar link and a wheel that had lost its balance – but they fixed it all for a fraction of what the other place wanted to charge me. The best part was the way they treated me and the car, like they actually understood that this isn’t just any SUV to me, it’s something I’ve worked hard for and care about.
